A faster CPU now enables the full throughput of 1.3 Gbps of the Wi-Fi standard IEEE 802.11ac with 3x3 MIMO. When using two Wi-Fi modules, the bandwidth is even doubled to up to 2.6 Gbps. The wireless access point is backwards compatible with the Wi-Fi standard IEEE 802.11n for older devices and a longer range.
The optionally available unmanaged high-speed Ethernet switch can be used either for redundancy to increase the availability of services, or to connect a second access point.
Dual radio version with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz standard. 11ac can be used at 5 GHz and 11n at 2.4 GHz for older end devices and at the same time a longer range.
The integrated ultra-wide-range power supply is fully compliant with EN 50155, Class S2 and tolerates interruptions of up to 10 ms. As an option, power can be supplied via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+).
For long backbone distances daisy chaining can be applied by bridging two Ethernet interfaces eliminating the costs for external switches.
The optionally available bypass function ensures signal transmission within the backbone even if one of the access points connected in series fails.
Easy-to-use web interface for remote configuration of the access points, monitoring of settings, and for installing updates.
A configurable firewall protects personal data of client devices against unauthorized access (client isolation) and supports the secure and interference-free data exchange with the Internet.
The access point is designed according to the international standard EN 50155. Components have to meet the strictest environmental requirements, e.g. an extended temperature range. In addition, they must be resilient to shocks and vibrations.
